This article theoretically argues that digital transformation is a strategic necessity for banks to remain competitive with fintech companies as a result of rapid technological advancements in digital transformation. In addition, the theoretical foundations of digital transformation in retail banking are critically examined, and the main principles of diffusion of innovation theory, resource-based view (RBV), institutional theory, service-oriented logic (SDL), technology adoption models, and dynamic capabilities are extensively analyzed. It is argued that digital transformation is not just about implementing digital tools, but also about creating value, delivering services, working with customers, improving efficiency, and increasing interbank competitiveness. By analyzing a large body of scientific literature, the study identifies gaps in existing theoretical frameworks and attempts to identify how banks can adapt to the digital economy, increase investment in innovation, and become digitally mature. Such analyses contribute to the field both scientifically and practically by offering comprehensive development models to understand the systemic and multidimensional dynamics of digital transformation in retail banking.
This article examines change management in the context of digital transformation in software development companies. The research analyzes organizational, human, and technological challenges that arise when implementing modern digital technologies. Theoretical approaches to change management based on models by Kurt Lewin, John Kotter, and the Prosci Institute are reviewed. The author proposes the Dynamic Change Transformation Model (DCTM), designed for systematic and human-centered management of digital transformation. The model integrates successful practices and offers an adaptive approach to managing organizational change. Based on the study results, practical recommendations are provided.
This article analyzes the essence of the digital transformation process and its impact on the standard of living of the population. Changes in the social status and standard of living of the population of Uzbekistan in recent years have been considered in terms of macroeconomic indicators such as the level of employment and unemployment. The positive impact of digital transformation on the quality of life of the population has been identified, which is expressed in the growth of the share of users of digital infrastructure, the growth of digital literacy of the population, the emergence of new types of digital services, the emergence of new business processes and forms of employment against the backdrop of changes in the country's digital space as a result of large-scale transformation of the economy. This article examines the significance of digital transformation in reducing disparities in regional economic development. The introduction highlights the relevance of the issue and contemporary trends, while the literature review analyzes a number of scientific articles from recent years. The methodology encompasses a systematic literature review (SLR) based on PRISMA guidelines and empirical modeling (panel regression, GMM, threshold models). The results demonstrate the positive impact of digital transformation on mitigating regional imbalances (e.g., stimulating GDP growth with a coefficient of 0.59), but reveal a U-shaped effect (turning point at 0.358) and infrastructure deficiencies. The conclusion emphasizes the potential of digital technologies, contingent upon policy measures and inclusivity, and provides policy, practical, and research recommendations.

This article develops a comprehensive methodology for assessing the development level of railway manufacturing enterprises. The study is grounded in the Industry 4.0 paradigm, digital transformation, and sustainable development concepts. The Integral Development Index (IDI) methodology encompasses six criterion groups production efficiency, financial stability, innovation activity, digital transformation, human capital, and environmental sustainability. Quantitative and qualitative indicators are defined for each group, with weight coefficients determined using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The study demonstrates that digital technologies including blockchain, smart contracts, tokenization, e-KYC, and API integration enhance transparency, operational efficiency, and Shariah compliance in Islamic financial operations. A comparative assessment of Malaysia, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia provides insights into the legal, technical, and methodological requirements needed to develop a national digital Islamic finance model. In recent years, as a result of the wide implementation of digital technologies in the public administration system of Uzbekistan, the e-government infrastructure has been gradually formed. The purpose of the research is to identify the efficiency factors of digital transformation in public services and to assess its economic and organizational impact. The methodology employs systematic, comparative, and trend analysis approaches based on open data from 2017-2024 to analyze Uzbekistan’s digital development indicators. The results show that while the expansion of electronic services has increased transparency and convenience of governance, digital inequality across regions and the shortage of qualified personnel continue to limit overall efficiency. This article provides an in-depth analysis of the institutional-fiscal transformation of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) and their strategic role in innovative development. Drawing on both global and national experience, it examines the theoretical foundations of SEZs, tax and customs preferences, cluster-based economic models, digital infrastructure, and the integration of green technologies. The study explores the genesis of SEZ development, their central role in economic liberalization policies, and their position within international integration processes. It highlights that beyond tax incentives, key determinants of SEZ effectiveness include transparent governance, institutional coherence, the formation of innovative production clusters, and the development of skilled human capital. Ultimately, SEZs are positioned not only as tools for attracting investment but also as drivers of technological independence, economic sovereignty, and enhanced global competitiveness.
In the context of active digital transformation of economic processes, the issue of enhancing the efficiency of managing electronic commerce entities has gained significant relevance. This article examines conceptual frameworks and practical mechanisms for optimizing managerial performance indicators of enterprises operating in the e-commerce sector of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The study analyzes the institutional environment, the level of digital maturity, and the technological infrastructure of electronic business, and identifies key barriers hindering its development. Special attention is given to the need for implementing an integrative management model focused on digital analytics, business process automation, consumer interaction personalization, and the use of advanced platform-based solutions. Based on comparative analysis with international practice, specific recommendations are proposed for improving performance evaluation systems for e-commerce actors, taking into account the national context. The findings can be applied in shaping state policies supporting digital entrepreneurship and developing strategies for sustainable growth of electronic commerce.
This study thoroughly examined the process of women's adaption to digital revolution in Uzbekistan. The Gender Digital Gap Index was utilized to assess women's utilization of digital technologies in our country, their digital competencies, and the primary challenges encountered during the adaption to digital transformation. The study involved an in-depth examination of statistical data, comparative analysis, segmentation, and the experiences of foreign nations. The Gender Digital Gap Index methodology was examined, and the extent of women's utilization of information and communication technology was evaluated using the SPSS software. Consequently, evidence-based proposals and recommendations were formulated to expedite women's adaption to digital transformation, enhance their digital competencies, and mitigate the gender digital divide.

This article examines the current state of export diversification in Uzbekistan and explores opportunities for innovation-driven export transformation. The study employs export diversification indicators, Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), and Product Space methodology to identify existing comparative advantages and future diversification opportunities. The findings reveal that Uzbekistan’s exports remain concentrated in traditional sectors; however, substantial opportunities exist for upgrading toward more sophisticated and higher-value-added products through innovation, human capital development, and productive capacity enhancement. The article examines the transition to low-carbon energy as a fundamental condition for the sustainable development of the national economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It considers theoretical approaches to energy transformation, international trends in renewable energy development, and the specific features of Uzbekistan’s decarbonization policy.
