This article analyzes the impact of transport infrastructure on destination development and demonstrates how it influences the traditional demand for tourism at the international trade level. An efficient transportation system and adequate infrastructure are essential for the growth of the tourism sector. Having well-developed transport infrastructure leads to lower transportation and trade costs and reduces travel distance, which contributes to the development of international tourism. Based on panel data from 22 countries that traded with Uzbekistan during the period 2003–2023, the study examines bilateral tourism flows over that time. We applied the gravity model to international tourism flows, controlling for the role of infrastructure in the dataset and disaggregating the data by country and time. The results show that inbound tourism to Uzbekistan is strongly influenced by both the direct and indirect development of its transport infrastructure. According to our findings, Uzbekistan can strategically develop its tourism sector by improving its transportation infrastructure – specifically railways, roads, and air transport.

This article presents a comparative analysis of innovative mechanisms for railway transport development in developed and developing countries. It highlights differences in goals, tools, and institutional contexts of innovation implementation. A methodology is proposed to assess the effectiveness of digital and environmental innovations. Recommendations are provided for policymakers based on the principles of sustainable development.

This article examines the position of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI) rankings, analyzing the key indicators that shape the index and their impact on the national transport system. The study identifies the correlation between LPI scores and the current state of Uzbekistan’s transport and logistics infrastructure, highlighting existing challenges and development opportunities. The role of LPI in enhancing the country’s transit potential within the global trade system is also emphasized. The paper concludes with policy recommendations aimed at improving Uzbekistan’s performance in the LPI rankings.

В данном исследовании рассматривается анализ туристической инфраструктуры в Южной Корее с целью оценки состояния инфраструктуры на основе комплексного подхода, включающего компоненты транспортных сетей страны, цифровые (умные) услуги, мониторинг окружающей среды и устойчивость к чрезвычайным ситуациям. В исследовании анализируются транспортная инфраструктура, покрытие Интернетом и 5G, интеллектуальные туристические приложения, кибербезопасность, зеленая инфраструктура и факторы устойчивости до и после пандемии. В то же время будут также освещены вопросы регионального дисбаланса и цифровой инклюзивности. Анализируются практические меры по улучшению. Основная цель исследования — изучить туристическую инфраструктуру Южной Кореи на основе комплексной модели оценки, выявить имеющиеся сильные и слабые стороны и разработать предложения по повышению устойчивости в чрезвычайных ситуациях. Данное исследование также представляет интерес для политиков и государственных учреждений, туроператоров и владельцев цифровых платформ, научных исследователей и студентов университетов, местных сообществ и специалистов по региональному развитию, а также организаций по экологии и управлению природопользованием и специалистов в области развития урбанизации. Научная новизна исследования заключается в том, что оно вносит новый теоретический и практический вклад в тему путем разработки модели оценки и набора эмпирических показателей, объединяющих компоненты туристической инфраструктуры, транспорта, интеллектуальных услуг, мониторинга окружающей среды и устойчивости.

This research study examines the content analysis of tourism infrastructure and aims to assess the state of infrastructure based on a comprehensive approach that includes the country's transport networks, digital (smart) services, environmental monitoring and resilience to emergencies. The study analyzes transport infrastructure, smart tourism applications, green infrastructure and resilience factors before and after the pandemic. At the same time, it also highlights the problems of regional imbalances and digital inclusion. Practical measures for improvement are analyzed. The main objective of the study is to study tourism infrastructure based on an integrated assessment model, identify existing strengths and weaknesses and develop proposals to increase resilience in emergencies. This study is also of importance to policymakers and government agencies, tourism operators and digital platform owners, academic researchers and students of higher education institutions, local communities and regional development specialists, as well as ecology and environmental management organizations and specialists in the field of urbanization development. The scientific novelty of the study is that it makes a new theoretical and practical contribution to the topic by developing an assessment model and a set of empirical indicators that combine the components of tourism infrastructure with transport, smart services, environmental monitoring and resilience

This article examines the problems and solutions for coordinating industrial cargo transportation between railway and road transport in Uzbekistan. The efficiency of intermodal transport systems, factors affecting coordination, and modern digital management tools are analyzed. According to the research results, integrated management of the two transport modes enables a cost reduction of 15–25% and a significant shortening of cargo delivery times. This article is aimed at analyzing the logistics and transport potential of Central Asian countries, with special attention to Uzbekistan's trade relations in the region. To assess the impact of logistics efficiency on bilateral trade flows, an extended gravity model including LPI indicators is estimated using panel data for 2010-2023. This article develops an optimal-systemic model for increasing the efficiency of logistics and supply chains at agro-processing enterprises in the Kashkadarya region. The study analyzes the integrated management mechanisms of the processes of raw material supply, storage, processing and distribution of finished products. Based on linear programming, transport models and systematic analysis methods, scientific and practical proposals have been developed to minimize logistics costs and increase production efficiency. This article analyzes the impact and significance of the supply chain in the economy of Uzbekistan. In particular, it examines the role of the logistics system in the national economy, its development trends, as well as existing problems and their solutions. An assessment of the current state of the supply chain infrastructure, government support measures, and recommendations for the development of international logistics networks are provided. The article examines the development of the service sector as one of the main areas of increasing the economic efficiency of regions. It is proven that this sector makes a significant contribution to increasing the economic efficiency of regions not only through the development of individual sectors of the economy, but also through the development of such sectors as health care, education, transport, communications, finance, industry, agriculture and tourism. This article analyzes the role of the cluster approach in improving the efficiency of tourism services, its economic mechanisms, and potential for practical application. The practical component of the study examines the tourist areas of Samarkand from a geographical and cluster perspective, determining the spatial structure of the historical, transport, scientific and cultural, modern recreational, and airport clusters established in the city. A cartographic analysis demonstrates the mutual integration of the main centers of tourist flows and the infrastructure that serves them. В этой статье освещается роль технологий географических информационных систем (GAT) в эффективном планировании, управлении и развитии инфраструктуры. С помощью инструментов GAT были проанализированы возможности рационального использования территориальных ресурсов, оптимизации инженерных коммуникаций, быстрого реагирования на чрезвычайные ситуации и обеспечения экологической устойчивости. В качестве примеров рассматриваются передовой мировой опыт, в частности внедрение технологий GAT в рамках инициативы Smart Nation в Сингапуре, формирование моделей виртуальных городов и их влияние на транспортную, водную и строительную инфраструктуру, а также приводятся выводы и предложения на основе анализа.
