RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE POLICY OF UZBEKISTAN'S PARTICIPATION IN TRADE AGREEMENTS

The article analyzes the economic foundations of Uzbekistan's integration into the international trading system, in particular, the policy of participation in the World Trade Organization. The study reveals the impact of trade agreements on exports, investments and competitiveness. The importance of inclusiveness, institutional coordination and stakeholder participation in the formation of trade policy based on international and regional experience is highlighted. The empirical analysis is carried out using a panel regression model based on data for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for 2000–2024. The results show that WTO membership increases GDP by an average of 17%. It is also found that WTO membership improves the investment climate, increases export diversification and accelerates institutional reforms. According to the forecast analysis, by 2030, Uzbekistan's GDP could reach 245 billion US dollars under WTO membership. The article also focuses on the potential social and cross-sectoral risks of trade liberalization and provides practical recommendations for a balanced trade policy.

THE EFFECTS OF THE WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION ON THE INTEGRATION OF NATIONAL ECONOMICS

In this article, the tendency of the creation of the World Trade Organization, which operates on a global scale and plays an important role in the development of the international market, and its influence on accelerating the activities of countries in international trade are studied. Today, 164 members of the organization are active in this structure, and they carry out more than 95% of world trade. Therefore, it is an urgent task to regularly research the trend of the formation and development of such a system, to show the achieved results and emerging problems, and to draw analytical conclusions.

THE IMPACT OF ACCESSION TO THE WORLD TRADE ORGANIZATION ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS IN CENTRAL ASIA

The article examines how WTO accession influenced the development of project management systems in Central Asian countries. Its relevance lies in the need to align trade-related reforms with project environment modernization amid Uzbekistan’s accession process. The methodology combines qualitative comparative analysis, case study, and content analysis of OECD, WTO, IMF, and World Bank materials. The findings show that in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan WTO membership stimulated customs digitalization, single-window mechanisms, e-procurement, and greater regulatory transparency. The scientific and practical contribution of the study lies in developing recommendations for Uzbekistan on linking WTO-related reforms with project management modernization, digital monitoring, compliance procedures, and integrated project implementation control.

As a result of the research, the following conclusions and proposals were formed: free economic zones are also a type of special economic zones, and free zones describe the activity of free ports; in the practice of foreign countries, free trade zones, free production zones, free economic zones, technological-innovation parks and other types of special economic zones are widely used.

This article analyzes the main directions for fundamentally improving the investment climate in Uzbekistan. In particular, it emphasizes the importance of such factors as strengthening and stabilizing the legislative framework, providing reliable guarantees of investors’ property rights, combating corruption, and reducing administrative barriers. It also examines issues related to offering tax and customs benefits, deepening public-private partnership (PPP) and privatization processes, modernizing transport and energy infrastructure, training qualified personnel, pursuing digital transformation, and expanding international trade cooperation. It is noted that comprehensive and consistent measures in these areas constitute one of the key prerequisites for enhancing the business environment in Uzbekistan, increasing trust among both foreign and local investors, as well as ensuring economic growth and the welfare of the population.
