Improving gender equality, as enshrined in legislation, regulations, and the Republic's Strategy to 2030, is one of the pressing and important tasks facing the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This article monitors and analyzes the status of gender diversity at senior management levels in commercial banks in Uzbekistan, and provides recommendations for improvement.
The study is devoted to the role of gender equality in realizing the potential of women and the economic development of Uzbekistan. It is shown that the effective implementation of women's human capital requires not only parity in education, but also institutional support, including access to employment and child care infrastructure. Gender justice should be both a goal of social policy and a tool for innovative economic development.
Human capital, human rights, gender equality and sustainable development are a chain of interrelated issues that are relevant today. Gender equality is important in itself, it is also reflected in the role of women in the development of society and the strong influence of human potential on labor productivity. This article analyzes issues related to ensuring gender equality, improving the position of women in the labor market, continuing the policy of increasing the socio-political activity of women, and based on these analyzes, conclusions and suggestions are formulated.
This article presents scientific research addressing the notion of equality in the retirement age for men and women. The research evaluated citizens' opinions on the feasibility of equalizing the retirement age for men and women, considering statistical data, international experiences, public opinion, and expert surveys, alongside the contemporary socio-economic conditions of Uzbekistan's development, to determine the optimal retirement age through analysis.
This study examines the relationship between key macroeconomic indicators, including the Human Development Index, Gender, Business, and Law indices, as well as the ease of doing business index and import level, with the inflow of foreign direct investment into Uzbekistan. Using OLS regression, correlation analysis, cointegration tests, and other econometric techniques, the analysis reveals that changes in the Human Development Index, Gender Index, Business and Legal index, and Import level positively correlate with foreign investment inflows. This suggests that human development, gender equality, business environment, and improved import policies play crucial roles in attracting foreign investments.
This article analysis the development of MICE tourism (Meeting, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions or Events) has become one of the most dynamic directions in the global tourism industry, directly contributing to economic diversification, international cooperation, and the establishment of a favorable business environment. In the context of Uzbekistan, where the tourism sector is rapidly expanding, the integration of inclusivity principles into MICE tourism represents both a strategic necessity and an innovative approach. Inclusivity is understood as ensuring equal access and participation for all social groups, regardless of gender, age, physical ability, or regional background. This implies the creation of barrier-free infrastructure, accessible conference and exhibition facilities, the use of sign language interpretation, and the promotion of gender equality and youth engagement. The research emphasizes that inclusivity in MICE tourism not only broadens participation and strengthens social cohesion but also increases the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s tourism market at the international level.
This study is devoted to the analysis of the development processes of women's entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan, the existing institutional environment and factors that hinder the expansion of this activity. The study deeply studies the role of women's entrepreneurship in economic development, their activity in the labor market, and the possibilities of using financial and institutional resources. In particular, the economic and legal conditions created for women in the country are analyzed based on the "Women, Business and Law" index developed by international organizations, including the World Bank, and national statistical data.
This article analyzes the strategic importance of the service sector in Uzbekistan’s economy, focusing on its share in GDP and impact on the labor market. It explores avenues for job creation through services, emphasizing digitalization, gender and youth inclusivity. The study covers structural shifts in employment across sectors, development dynamics, labor productivity, informal employment, infrastructure, and workforce training. Drawing on international experience, the paper proposes effective mechanisms for enhancing employment through the service sector.
