This article examines the practical role of mahalla institutions in promoting employment, evaluates the effectiveness of existing organizational and institutional mechanisms, and substantiates the need for their improvement. The survey conducted at the mahalla level reveals that employment remains insufficiently prioritized among the main areas of mahalla activity, and current initiatives lack systematization. Within the study, an integrated institutional–organizational mechanism was developed to strengthen the functions of mahalla institutions across diagnostics, vocational training, support for self-employment initiatives, mobilization of financial resources, and monitoring. The proposed mechanism is aimed at enhancing the institutional capacity of mahalla governance in employment promotion, supporting household-based entrepreneurship, and revitalizing local labor markets.

This article highlights the significance of land and property taxes levied on individuals in the socio-economic development of mahallas in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the processes related to the implementation of the newly introduced mahalla budget mechanism in practice. Additionally, recommendations have been developed for increasing the revenues of mahalla budgets through taxation, which are expected to play an important role in reducing economic inequality between mahallas, addressing social issues of the population, and solving problems related to regional infrastructure.

The article presents current information, proposals and recommendations on the organization of the work of tax authorities in mahallas, its legal basis, development trends, current state, as well as the impact of the organization of the work of tax authorities in mahallas on increasing sources of revenue for the state and local budgets.

In Uzbekistan, the mahalla system is a small area that functions as a body of self-government of citizens. The article analyzes the criteria and factors associated with the comprehensive, broad (inclusive) development of this system. Based on the study of the experience of the Saikhunabad district, an organizational and economic model of inclusive development of the mahalla was formed.

This article presents a scientific analysis of existing methodologies for assessing poverty levels, examining their advantages and limitations. The analysis revealed that current approaches have shortcomings, including the complexity of data collection at the mahalla level, difficulties in identifying informal income, and excessive reliance on official statistics. Consequently, the author proposes a new, improved methodology that integrates economic and social indicators, based on empirical evidence.

This article deeply analyzes the issues of further improving the infrastructure of mahallas in Uzbekistan and provides suggestions and recommendations on this issue.

In recent years, more and more attention has been paid in Uzbekistan to the study of scientific and practical problems of poverty reduction and its gradual elimination. Such actions are considered extremely relevant and important in socio-economic terms in the territory of the mahalla, which is the main support point of our country. Taking this into account, the article, based on an analysis of scientific and practical results obtained in foreign countries and in our country, develops proposals and recommendations aimed at eliminating poverty in the mahalla.

Households within the mahalla system occupy a special place in the economy of Uzbekistan. In recent years, the growth rate of agricultural production, produced by households within mahallas, has been impressive. In this regard, the article, using econometric methods, forecasts the prospects for the production of crop and livestock products in households.

This article analyzes the results of a study on the development of rural tourism and the factors influencing it. At the same time, the opinions expressed by a number of scientists were studied, and the possibilities of creating a strategy for the development of tourism in the mahalla were examined. As a result of the study, the state of rural tourism in Uzbekistan, the attitude of the population and local leaders to its development, as well as 5 main factors were identified. The definition of these factors made it possible to understand the necessary conditions for running a tourism business in villages and expanding the range of tourism services. The features that should be taken into account by the hokim assistant in supporting the tourism business as an important area of entrepreneurship in the mahalla are described.

The article examines the organizational and economic mechanisms of improving the efficiency of services in the regions. The main focus is on cases of improving the quality and efficiency of services by modernizing the service sector based on new technologies in the context of innovative economic development.

Further development of the field of housing construction, improvement of mechanisms for attracting investments, further improvement of the standard of living of our country, is one of the reforms that are consistently carried out in our country today. At the heart of this article lies the expansion of the economy of our country, the reduction of the unemployment rate through the development of the construction sector in our country, the further improvement of the living well-being of our population, the increase of gross domestic product and economic development.
