ADVANCING SMART TOURISM IN UZBEKISTAN THROUGH DIGITAL MARKETING: A SECONDARY-DATA STUDY
Dilrabo Mardonova

This study analyzes how digital marketing can accelerate the development of smart tourism in Uzbekistan. Although the country has recorded fast growth in visitor flows and stronger global recognition, the move from traditional destination promotion to data-informed smart tourism governance is still incomplete. The evidence shows that Uzbekistan has a promising foundation for smart tourism: inbound tourism trips reached 7.96 million in 2024, internet penetration was 89.0% in January 2025, and active social media identities numbered 11.7 million. However, demand composition reveals an important strategic issue: 76.7% of inbound trips in 2024 were connected with visiting relatives, whereas leisure and recreation represented only 14.9%. This difference suggests that large arrival volumes have not yet been fully converted into higher-value destination-based tourism. The analysis also identifies a developing digital ecosystem that includes official portals, e-visa services, OTA cooperation, mobile cashback tools, and specialized platforms such as Eaten.uz.

MONETARY POLICY TRANSMISSION IN UZBEKISTAN UNDER THE INFLATION TARGETING FRAMEWORK
Kamola Nazarova

This paper discusses the mechanism of transmission of the monetary policy in Uzbekistan in the framework of the inflation targeting (IT) which is officially followed by the Central Bank of Uzbekistan since 2021 (CBU). The analysis indicates that the main refinancing rate is transmitted into the financial system to impact output and prices using methods of Vector Autoregression (VAR) and Structural VAR (SVAR) on quarterly data covering 2010-2023. The results show that interest rate channel is the most effective transmission channel, exchange rate channel comes next and credit channel is limited by structural weakness in the banking sector. The monetary policy shocks explain about 18-22 percent of inflation variance at a 12-month horizon. Some of the major obstacles are dollarization, strong state-owned banking industry, ineffective financial intermediation and low financial literacy. Some of the policy prescriptions include complementary fiscal moderation, faster financial sector reform, and better communication by the central bank.

IMPROVING DELIVERY SERVICE PERFORMANCE USING DISCRETE EVENT SIMULATION MODELING
Nasiba Utkurova , Abdumalik Djumanov

The rapid growth of on-demand food delivery services has posed significant challenges in logistics optimization. This study focuses on a formerly leading food delivery company in Uzbekistan, which faced difficulties in meeting customer expectations due to high demand and inefficiencies in courier allocation. The research applied Discrete Event Simulation (DES) theory to analyze courier utilization, waiting times, and delivery performance. The model incorporated district-based clustering, queueing theory, stochastic simulation modeling, model validation and performance evaluation to evaluate various operational scenarios. Findings reveal that integrated models reduce delivery times by 1.6 times, enhance throughput, and provide actionable strategies for urban delivery optimization. The results contribute to both academic literature and managerial practice in emerging markets.

GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN ECONOMIC SECTORS: ASSESSING IMPLEMENTATION EFFICIENCY AND ENSURING TECHNOLOGICAL SECURITY
Durdona Abdukaxxorova

This article examines the role of generative artificial intelligence in the digital transformation of economic sectors, with a particular focus on assessing implementation efficiency and ensuring technological security. The study argues that generative AI is becoming a strategic tool for improving productivity, operational speed, decision-making quality, and innovation capacity across manufacturing, finance, logistics, public administration, and other sectors. At the same time, the article emphasizes that the benefits of generative AI are accompanied by serious technological risks, including data leakage, model misuse, privacy violations, unreliable outputs, and cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The research is based on a qualitative comparative analysis of recent open-access academic and institutional sources, including OECD, World Bank, NIST, and sector-specific studies. The findings show that the effectiveness of generative AI should be evaluated through a dual framework that combines economic performance indicators with technological security criteria. The article concludes that sustainable implementation requires not only digital infrastructure and organizational adaptation, but also strong governance mechanisms, human oversight, and continuous risk monitoring.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STABILITY RATING FOR BUSINESS ENTITIES IN UZBEKISTAN: FOUNDATIONS, METHODOLOGY AND ANALYSIS OF RESULTS
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STABILITY RATING FOR BUSINESS ENTITIES IN UZBEKISTAN: FOUNDATIONS, METHODOLOGY AND ANALYSIS OF RESULTS
Zafarbek Abdullayev

This article analyzes the legal foundations, methodology and initial results of implementing the stability rating system for business entities in Uzbekistan. The aim of the study is to explain the essence of the rating system, to identify changes in the assessment criteria and to determine their impact on tax compliance and the stability of the business environment. Methodologically, the research employs descriptive and analytical analysis, a comparative approach based on international experience, diagnostic assessment and digital monitoring techniques. The empirical base relies on the information systems of the State Tax Committee, official statistical data and national regulatory acts. The findings show that, after the introduction of the stability rating, there has been a significant increase in timely tax payments, on-time submission of tax reports, the use of electronic invoices, overall employment and the employment of socially vulnerable groups. Furthermore, the paper substantiates that calculating the rating on the basis of 30-day average scores and introducing new incentive and penalty indicators have enhanced the transparency of the system and expanded the possibilities for selective fiscal management. The author proposes further improvement of the rating system, taking into account sectoral and regional specificities, as well as its more active use in the practices of banks, investors and public procurement.

QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF WATER SCARCITY ON THE ECONOMY
Sarvar Mamasoliyev

This study used econometric panel models to examine the influence of water shortage on economic growth in Central Asian countries. To evaluate long-term panel data, we used a pooled regression model, a fixed effect model, and a random effect model on annual data from 1990 to 2023 across five nations. After creating the models, we ran diagnostic tests using several statistical techniques. After analyzing the models listed above, we determined that the Pooled regression model is best suited to our panel data. Based on the indicators of this model, it was discovered that increased water shortage in Central Asian countries had a negative impact on economic growth. Each unit increase in water scarcity causes a 0.0166 unit loss in GDP. The findings suggest that countries experiencing severe water scarcity should prioritize water resource management and establish a water conservation program that includes the construction of infrastructure to alleviate the shortage.
