This article proposes the strategic openness index (SOI) as a new metric aimed at evaluating and improving the quality of strategic decision-making in joint-stock companies. The index is built on three fundamental pillars – transparency, accountability, and stakeholder participation. Based on international experience and empirical research in the context of Uzbekistan, it is shown that companies with higher SOI scores demonstrate improved capital valuation (Tobin’s Q), reduced strategic risks, and increased investor confidence. This approach advances the governance and performance paradigm by shifting focus from formal outcomes to the openness and inclusivity of decision-making processes.
This article analyzes the processes of digitalization in the service sectors of Uzbekistan, their impact on efficiency, and their role in reducing corruption. The study explores the potential for minimizing corruption risks through the implementation of digital technologies, which help reduce bureaucratic barriers, improve the quality and speed of service delivery, and ensure openness and transparency. Recent reforms in the country, including the development of e-government systems, online services, and smart solutions, are examined, and analytical recommendations are provided. The article also outlines key priority areas for enhancing the national model based on international experience.
This article examines contemporary trends in the design of multifunctional residential complexes, reflecting changes in urban environment requirements and social needs. The historical stages of the evolution of multifunctional residential complexes are analyzed, from ancient civilizations to modern concepts of sustainable development. Special attention is given to key aspects such as flexibility and adaptability of spaces, environmental sustainability, integration of high technologies, as well as social and community integration. The article also highlights additional trends such as polycentricity, autonomy, regulation of boundaries, intensification of courtyard spaces, and the concept of openness and transparency. It is concluded that modern multifunctional residential complexes aim to create a sustainable, comfortable urban environment capable of adapting to changes and meeting the needs of the population.
The article analyzes the rating systems introduced in our Republic in various areas. It also identifies the specific features of rating systems and reflects their features in determining the customs rating of foreign trade activities of business entities. It also touches upon the principles that should be taken into account when implementing the rating system, and lists important principles. In addition, attention is paid to the importance of using digital technologies and integrating them with other relevant organizations in calculating rating points, and relevant proposals and recommendations are developed.
This study examines how trade openness impacts economic development in 20 emerging markets from 2000 to 2020. It compares countries based on trade policies, levels of openness, and economic growth outcomes. The research highlights regional differences, with Asian economies showing better results than many in Africa and Latin America. The findings suggest that trade openness can drive development when supported by strong institutions and policies tailored to each country's needs.
