In order to enhance regional competitiveness, the development of industrial clusters is regarded as an important strategic direction. This article analyzes, based on a review of literature and statistical data, the theoretical foundations of clustering and Uzbekistan’s experience in implementing industrial clusters. The research results indicate that industrial clusters increase production efficiency in regions, accelerate innovation, and create a basis for the formation of new business entities. The author provides recommendations for the effective use of clustering to improve regional competitiveness.

The process of modernization of infrastructure and the introduction of innovative solutions plays an important role in increasing the economic stability and competitiveness of regions. Therefore, the study examines the main factors affecting the development of regional infrastructure, existing problems and ways to solve them. The analysis shows that the main obstacles to the implementation of infrastructure projects are the lack of financing, outdated technologies, institutional problems and territorial disparities. The article also analyzes advanced foreign experience and puts forward effective strategies for the formation of innovative infrastructure. The article also develops scientific and practical recommendations for the development of regional infrastructure and highlights its impact on sustainable innovative development. The results of the study can be of practical importance in the processes of regional policy formation and infrastructure planning.
In the context of globalization, the issues of sustainable development of the agro-industrial sector and ensuring competitive advantages in foreign markets have become increasingly relevant. This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the conceptual and theoretical foundations of the competitiveness of agro-industrial production. From this perspective, the article theoretically examines the influence of the main factors shaping the competitiveness of agro-industrial production, including the institutional environment, resource potential, innovative development, human capital, and state economic policy.
The article analyzes the economic foundations of Uzbekistan's integration into the international trading system, in particular, the policy of participation in the World Trade Organization. The study reveals the impact of trade agreements on exports, investments and competitiveness. The importance of inclusiveness, institutional coordination and stakeholder participation in the formation of trade policy based on international and regional experience is highlighted. The empirical analysis is carried out using a panel regression model based on data for Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan for 2000–2024. The results show that WTO membership increases GDP by an average of 17%. It is also found that WTO membership improves the investment climate, increases export diversification and accelerates institutional reforms. According to the forecast analysis, by 2030, Uzbekistan's GDP could reach 245 billion US dollars under WTO membership. The article also focuses on the potential social and cross-sectoral risks of trade liberalization and provides practical recommendations for a balanced trade policy.
This paper examines the trade dynamics of landlocked Central Asia, with a particular focus on Uzbekistan. The geographical disadvantages of Uzbekistan, a double-landlocked country, significantly impede its trade competitiveness due to high transportation costs and prolonged transit times. Historically dependent on exports of commodities such as cotton, gold, and natural gas, Uzbekistan’s economy remains vulnerable to global market fluctuations. To mitigate these challenges and enhance its trade potential, the study underscores the necessity of diversifying into value-added sectors and improving trade logistics infrastructure. By employing the gravity model of trade, the paper evaluates the impact of trade facilitation measures on bilateral trade volumes within the Central Asian region. The findings highlight the critical role of infrastructure development, customs modernization, and regional cooperation in bolstering Uzbekistan’s trade efficiency. The analysis reveals that countries with advanced trade facilitation measures engage in higher trade volumes with Uzbekistan, suggesting that strategic investments in transport infrastructure and regulatory reforms are pivotal. These efforts are essential for integrating Uzbekistan more effectively into global markets and fostering economic growth within the region.

This article analysis the development of MICE tourism (Meeting, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions or Events) has become one of the most dynamic directions in the global tourism industry, directly contributing to economic diversification, international cooperation, and the establishment of a favorable business environment. In the context of Uzbekistan, where the tourism sector is rapidly expanding, the integration of inclusivity principles into MICE tourism represents both a strategic necessity and an innovative approach. Inclusivity is understood as ensuring equal access and participation for all social groups, regardless of gender, age, physical ability, or regional background. This implies the creation of barrier-free infrastructure, accessible conference and exhibition facilities, the use of sign language interpretation, and the promotion of gender equality and youth engagement. The research emphasizes that inclusivity in MICE tourism not only broadens participation and strengthens social cohesion but also increases the competitiveness of Uzbekistan’s tourism market at the international level.
This article examines the priority directions for enhancing the tourism potential of Navoi region, Uzbekistan. It analyzes the current state of tourism infrastructure, digital transformation processes, and principles of sustainable tourism. Based on a cluster approach, digital innovation and green economy principles, scientific recommendations were developed to increase regional competitiveness and ensure efficient use of resources. The results provide a basis for strategic planning and sustainable tourism policy in the Navoi region.

This article addresses the issues related to the scientific-methodological, regulatory-legal, and organizational-economic support for the establishment and development of grain clusters. Based on the results of studying and analyzing types of clusters, the criteria for clustering and types of clusters are outlined. A multi-stage algorithm for the creation of regional and territorial grain clusters is proposed. The main problems hindering the process of establishing grain clusters are also analyzed, and recommendations for their elimination are provided.
