ACTIVITIES AIMED AT ACHIEVING ECONOMIC EFFICIENCY THROUGH THE ACCELERATION OF CARGO DELIVERY TIMES WITHIN THE LOGISTICS CHAIN
Jamshid Barotov, Jamshid Kobulov, Mukhiddin Mekhriev

The proposed methodology for improving freight delivery enables the calculation of all types of shipments and reduces delivery time. It defines the decision-making process during the execution of various operations at stations. A model based on mathematical modeling of the technological process dependency is proposed for making effective decisions. To verify the methodology for standardizing transportation duration, it is necessary to organize the process considering the delay of each technological operation. The main reason for applying standards is to accelerate cargo delivery and ensure the proper distribution of penalties among railways for late delivery. In turn, this will help develop contractual relationships with clients and improve the overall system.

TRADE DYNAMICS IN LANDLOCKED CENTRAL ASIA: INSIGHTS FROM UZBEKISTAN’S PERSPECTIVE
Saodat Umarova

This paper examines the trade dynamics of landlocked Central Asia, with a particular focus on Uzbekistan. The geographical disadvantages of Uzbekistan, a double-landlocked country, significantly impede its trade competitiveness due to high transportation costs and prolonged transit times. Historically dependent on exports of commodities such as cotton, gold, and natural gas, Uzbekistan’s economy remains vulnerable to global market fluctuations. To mitigate these challenges and enhance its trade potential, the study underscores the necessity of diversifying into value-added sectors and improving trade logistics infrastructure. By employing the gravity model of trade, the paper evaluates the impact of trade facilitation measures on bilateral trade volumes within the Central Asian region. The findings highlight the critical role of infrastructure development, customs modernization, and regional cooperation in bolstering Uzbekistan’s trade efficiency. The analysis reveals that countries with advanced trade facilitation measures engage in higher trade volumes with Uzbekistan, suggesting that strategic investments in transport infrastructure and regulatory reforms are pivotal. These efforts are essential for integrating Uzbekistan more effectively into global markets and fostering economic growth within the region.

THE ROLE OF NEURAL NETWORKS IN ECONOMETRIC MODELING AND FINANCIAL DECISION-MAKING
Shoxrux Mirzayev

This article examines the transformative role of neural networks in econometrics and financial decision-making, emphasizing their influence on personal finance, automation, healthcare, transportation, and human-computer interaction. Neural networks, inspired by the structure of the human brain, have the potential to revolutionize these sectors by enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making capabilities. In personal finance, they can optimize budgeting, savings, and expenditure management through automated models such as the McCulloch-Pitts neuron. In healthcare, neural networks improve diagnostic capabilities and enable predictive treatment. The article also highlights the applications of neural networks in econometrics to analyze financial patterns, detect fraud, and manage risks more effectively. However, it also addresses the ethical concerns related to data privacy, security, and biases in algorithmic decision-making, stressing the importance of responsible development. Ultimately, it concludes that, despite the challenges, the benefits of integrating neural networks into econometric models and financial systems are substantial and indispensable for modern advancements.

THE IMPACT OF THE INCREASE IN THE VOLUME OF FREIGHT TURNOVER ON THE RAILWAYS ON EXPORTS
Mehri Vokhidova

Purpose: This study aims to investigate the intricate relationship between the volume of exports (Y) and freight turnover on railways (X) through a paired linear regression model. The purpose is to discern the quantitative impact of railway freight turnover on a nation's export volumes and offer insights for policymakers and stakeholders in the transportation and trade sectors. Design/Methodology/Approach: A quantitative research design is employed, utilizing historical data spanning from 2000 to 2022. The chosen methodology involves the estimation of a paired linear regression model using the method of least squares. Statistical significance is tested through the coefficient of determination, Fisher's F-test, and an examination of heteroskedasticity. Elasticity analysis, rank correlation, and graphical assessments of residuals provide a comprehensive understanding of the relationship. Findings: The research reveals a strong and statistically significant positive correlation (r = 0.92) between export volumes and railway freight turnover. The regression model, validated through multiple tests, explains 84.72% of the variability in export volumes. Economic interpretation indicates that a one-unit increase in railway freight turnover leads to a substantial average increase of 1627720.728 units in export volumes. The absence of heteroskedasticity reinforces the robustness of the model.
